Patricia Enstad, CMT

Patricia Enstad, MS, CMT is a certified Massage Therapist specializing in therapies that release restrictions that block healing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. She has advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy and Myofascial Release, as well as Visceral Manipulation and Lymphatic Drainage. She also practices and teaches Esoteric Healing, an energy based approach to balancing the body. The body knows how to heal and Patricia works to connect people with that inner wisdom and wholeness - and believes in making it a playful and joyful process.

Patricia has a BA in education and a MS in Community Counseling. Her bodywork skills and ability to connect, educate and communicate with clients has led to a successful private practice in the
Twin Cities for almost 10 years. She comes to the Partners practice with a desire to work as part of an integrative team. She trained through the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork, through the Upledger Institute, and with John F Barnes in Myofascial Release.

Myofascial Release
The fascial system (connective tissue), often referred to as the "liquid light" of the body, is a lubricating gel-like substance that literally surrounds and connects the entire physical structure of the body, inside and out. Every organ, bone, tissue and nerve cell throughout the body is organized within this protective substance. Normally, this substance allows for a fluid and frictionless information flow between all the of systems of the body, from the extremely sophisticated, finely tuned neural and chemical network at the cellular level to the denser, more structural level of the muscles and bones. MFR works to open and re-hydrate the restricted or blocked areas of the body that disrupt healthy physiological functioning. MFR enables a more coherent flow of information and organization within the entire human network of the body, restoring health and quality of life to the individual. More information on MFR can be found here.

Craniosacral Therapy
is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system — comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Visceral Manipulation Trained practitioners use the rhythmic motions of the visceral system to evaluate how abnormal forces interplay, overlap and affect the normal body forces at work. These gentle manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body. See www.upledger.com for more information.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) is an original hands-on method of lymphatic drainage developed by Bruno Chikly, MD, of France. Created out of his award-winning research on the lymphatic system, LDT takes traditional lymph drainage techniques and adds a level of precision consistent with recent scientific discoveries.
